News

Updated 01/06/10: I am currently working on a host of new projects. I have a line of personal reflections journals in the work. I also am working on DEPth Magazine, a new cultural arts project that spotlights urban poets/spoken word artists, their lifestyle and the necessity of the craft. I am, in fact, working on new poetry. But, in normal iamdew fashion, its not just poetry its a story, its a journey. I hope you ride.

Emotionally this has been a tough two years but the I’m still doing what I do best and walking these lines to bring dreams to reality. You are always welcomed to walk along side.

Updated 07/23/08: I’m back. As you can see, I’ve redecorated. I’m knocking on 30 so I figured I would throw a little adult into the decor. Currently I’m not working on poetry. I know! Hard to believe. Although, I am working on several collections and a novel that’s long over due. I promise to keep you posted on the progress and as always, nice to see you.

Updated 09/11/06: First and foremost, we will never forget. And, neither did I. I am currently working on several projects but only one of my own. I auditioned for DPJ again. We’ll see how it goes. Melodramatic, the next in the Dew poetry collection is nearing completion but I am looking at a rerelease of the two previous works before I unleash it upon the world. I want to thank everyone who continues to support me in all I do. Check me out on MySpace.

Updated 12/03/05: To say I have been missing in action is an understatement. I have been working on putting together a compilation of my short stories which entails actually finishing several short stories. My public appearances have been nil as I have found in order to have something to speak on there must be a life being lived to relay to the crowd. To Be Continued…

Updated 08/20/05: As you can see there is a new link on the bar. I have included a short story for those looking for something new to look into. I’m still writing and expanding my thought process, have you done the same?

Updated 06/25/05: Random has done well. It is the best work I feel I have done to-date. Lately I have been doing shows and keeping busy. I have a radio interview Wednesday night @ 7:30pm w/ Eka Syrem on WMPR 90.1. Please tune in and catch the local artists trying to stay positive. *****I am trying to balance my personal and professional lives, it ain’t easy but I do what I can. Inevitably something will always suffer. Leaving His Impression is still in its growing stages. Like chili its not right until you have all the right ingredients and something I can’t taste is missing. Until then please continue to feast on the new poems available on the site. Continue to contact me with any critiques, advice or hellos. Until next time…

Updated 04/25/05: It’s finally ready!! Random has finally been completed. I am still working to help others see their work in print. My performances have been few and far between due to the demand of my day job and of course my passion for my night job. I thank those who are still looking out for my work, I will be back on the performance train shortly. **** Intentions Magazine 2nd issue will be available May 30th please keep a look out for that as well. Continue to support the arts!

Updated 3/08/05: No one loves you like your own. Def Poetry Jam passed me over. They thought I would be too shy to stand in front of a crowd of 300 people and reveal my soul. Their loss! Luckily my home town artists still see a shine in my work. I have been invited to attend the Poetry Unleashed event going down April 5 at Jackson State. This event will help kick off poetry month. I am very excited. Please come support the arts. ******  Lately I have been working hard helping other poets see their words come to life on the page. Admittedly Random has seen some neglect but it will be out soon please do not fret. Leaving His Impression, my first novel, nears it’s finality. It is still tentatively scheduled for release this summer. Thank you all for remaining interested, stay on course and destiny will follow.
